UPDATES AND SOME NEW TUNES
Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

We've been hard at work with the band, rehearsing for upcoming events, recording and writing. Busy busy busy.

We put up a few rough demo clips in the audio section of this site for a few weeks. They're just demos, the final versions are being recorded for upcoming releases.

See you live/in person very soon!

EXPLODING IN SOUND
Monday, August 31st, 2009

Our friends at Exploding In Sound released a compilation titled Future Legendary featuring a free track from us. Go here to download it: explodinginsound.bandcamp.com

Sick of the Radio have our a b-side track named "A. Modulation", from Bury the Seasons, available for free download. Go here to get it.

Here's a little track review from
Altsounds.com:
The hushed vocals [...] are eerily mixed with the sound of radio tuning, led along by an evil bass line that promises only doom. By the time it finishes, a second short of three minutes, you find yourself reaching for some twee-pop just to restore some balance to the world.

BURY THE SEASONS AVAILABLE TODAY
Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

Bury the Seasons (version II) is available digitally today, April 28th! This is a remastered version that is repackaged with new artwork and 2 additional tracks. All proceeds for the sale of this EP go to the
ASPCA.

Tracklisting:
1. Falter
2. She Comes Out (Dead Romantic)
3. A. Modulation
4. She Comes Out (M63 vs Ariake Remix)

People were asking us where they could find this EP, so we repackaged it and added 2 new tracks (a b-side and a remix) to raise more money for the ASPCA. This EP's re-release is meant to help tide people over, as well, until our new NEW record is released and we are playing live again--all later this year.

You can download the EP from
Amazon MP3 & iTunes today!

BURY THE SEASONS RELEASED (REPACKAGED/NEW TRACKS) ON APRIL TWENTY-EIGTH
Monday, April 6th, 2009

So, here's something cool to tide you over till our next new release, later this year.  We've had a really great response to No Fun Intended and a lot of people have asked how to get ahold of the first EP, so it's been given an official digital release.

Bury the Seasons will be available digitally through iTunes (Worldwide), Amazon MP3, eMusic, Rhapsody, Napster, and more on April 28, 2009.  It's repackaged with 2 new tracks, along with re-mastered versions of "Falter" and "She Comes Out (Dead Romantic)".  The added bonus cuts are "A. Modulation" and "She Comes Out (Romantic Mix) (M63 vs Ariake Remix)".  It's an excellent ambient, atmospheric, and trance-like mix created by the UK's Matt Clarke of Ariake Waveband. We've never really been into remixes of our songs
before, but we were extremely impressed and amazed by his contribution to the track.

"Falter" and "She Comes Out" have been on our player on MySpace, but now you'll be able to download them, like people have requested.  All proceeds for Bury the Seasons, just like our previous release No Fun Intended, are going jointly to support the ASPCA as well as Perfect Pet Rescue in Los Angeles--a rescue that is extremely close to our hearts.  None of the monies from the sale go in our pockets.  Thanks to everyone for
the ongoing support in our music and the interest in the bigger causes we stand behind!

We've been working diligently over the past few months--putting our blood, sweat, tears, and sanity into writing/recording our new material.  We can't wait to share our hard work with you.  It's all coming along very well.  We can promise there's a bit something for everybody on the new material.  We're thrilled to start playing out again this summer, joining forces once again as a trio with Chase Manhattan (our killer
drummer on all the releases).

Thanks to everyone for all your kind emails, comments and messages. We do our best to keep up with you
everything!  :)

BE SURE TO SIGN OUT MAILING LIST SO WE CAN KEEP
YOU UP TO DATE ON SHOWS, TOURS, PRESS, RELEASES, OUR CAUSES, ETC!

P.S.  If you're interested in previewing the new cover art for Bury the Seasons, check it here.

HELP SUPPORT INVISIBLE CHILDREN
Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

On April 25th, non-profit INVISIBLE CHILDREN will be staging a global event in an effort to rescue the 3,000 child soldiers in Uganda, and we are part of a coalition of bands/musicians creating awareness online to make this a huge success via biggestlabelever.com and causecast.org.

In support of The Rescue we are giving away a free download of our song "Gone" on
biggestlabelever.com. Please visit the site and download our song, as well as hundreds of other artists, for FREE after registering and learn about the April 25th event in the process. Registering is a one-step process and costs nothing. Thanks to Brandon Deroche for allowing us to be part of this!

Please help spread the word!

Why we participate:
With all the bad that goes on in the world, we want to do something to make some kind of difference. So, if it's anything small like a donation or a free song to download that's the absolute least we can do. There aren't enough people in the world who contribute to the greater good, but one person inspired to be passionate can do so much good. Simple things can change the world , but only if you do them. Seriously!

NO FUN INTENDED'S UPCOMING RELEASE
Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

Hello comrades,

Our new record titled No Fun Intended is complete. (Holy crap.) We've uploaded 2 songs for your listening pleasure. "Gone" and "Little Glimpse" are 2 of the 6 songs that appear on the album. There is a clip on this site of another song named "Overcome." Check them all out if you like and give us your feedback. We'd love it... since we've been holed-up in our studio for the past year (with very little human contact of any kind)!

It's release date will be announced momentarily. It'll be released with
Future Static and will be available through several online outputs.

This record was originally recorded in 2006. We've re-recorded everything ourselves with the exception of the original drum tracks, and re-mixed the entire record ourselves.

We've already started work on a new full length album. We'll be backing both releases in LA at the beginning of the year with shows following early in the year.

As we get more info on everything we'll let it be known.

Oh, and sorry for our absence. We are making up for it!

Yours always,

Us

BET ON ME PREVIEW!
Wednesday, July 30th

FINALLY, here is the PREVIEW of the final mix of "Bet On Me" from our 6-song EP that was recorded 2+ years ago!  (Pathetic! We know!)  Check it out here:  www.myspace.com/skeleteen

If you've been listening, you know we've been busy with the band, but the EP got backed up/put on hold. The main reason is it kept falling into the hands of the wrong people (too many). We got our stuff back and it was recorded from 2" tape to digital wave files. We took some time to build our own studio with the right equipment and tricks. We scrapped all the mixes given to us and A LOT of the original recordings. We re-recorded several parts, re-mixed, re-edited, re-EQ'd, re-everything! THANK YOU CHASE MANHATTAN FOR YOUR AMAZING DRUM SKILLS... on this EP and previous recordings! So, basically, we've become totally self-sufficient in recording... we recommend this for anyone who is not happy with the outcome of their music in certain people's hands or for anyone who feels ripped off. DO IT YOURSELF - it's the best way to do it. (That's not to say there aren't some amazing studios and decent professionals out there! But, we've had no luck -- other than Reel Time Studios in Daytona, Florida!)

We're finishing the other songs right now from that EP, as we speak. We hope to have the rest of the songs released by the end of August... we're working hard! Like we've said, we've been holed up writing and demo-ing/recording new material (at this point more than 30-some songs)... We're intensely excited about doing a new record all by ourselves! We temporarily halted all of that to finally get this EP complete and let is see the light of day. THERE IS MUCH TO BE ANTICIPATED. Expect a little bit of everything from the new material... there's some heavy, some mellow, some experimentation, some poppy stuff... a lot of variety!

So, more from us and the Future Static label very soon......

JUNE NOISE
Friday, June 27th

Finally, new website!  At the moment, we're demo-ing well over 30 songs for a full length album.  There's a wicked dose of experimentation.... These songs have had a lot of time to ferment and become complete.  We don't think anyone will expect what will come of it.

So,  there's that cursed 6-song EP recorded live 2 years ago. It went through the hands of a few unprofessional people, stifling it's release and leaving a bad taste in our mouths, but we're working hard on mixing the live sessions ourselves in addition to recording our new material.  The direction of the new stuff is very different from the unreleased EP.  We think you'll be surprised.  We're not going to give exact dates right this moment, but both the unreleased EP and an album (and much more) will see the light of day relatively soon, all in collaboration with Future Static! We'll send out more updates/news on the releases as things become solidified.

We've spent a lot of time traveling, recording (out-of-state), and just spending a lot of time out of LA (to take a breather, recollect, and see what we could see)... but we're ready and waiting to come back and play live very soon. A festival, some shows, and live radio performances are all in the planning stages for the fall in support of The People In Your Neighborhood compilation, our EP release, and Future Static. We'll give more updates as we know them, but join Future Static's mailing list for other info by emailing an add request to
kenn @futurestatic.com. For now, for any kind of info, please visit... MySpace.com/Skeleteen

There's a storm a-brewin'.  Lots to expect in the near future (static).

Sincerely, Kyle

We're ready to bring the noise again!

Love, Skeleteen
